A Hero's Flowers

In this work, I wanted to capture a suspended moment, imbued with melancholy and poetry. A skeleton pierced by a sword lies amid lush vegetation, a silent vestige of a past marked by war. The body, now inert, seems to have been forgotten, abandoned to the elements, until nature herself begins to heal the wounds of the place.

The scene represents the slow process by which life reclaims its rights over the traces of destruction. The red flowers evoke both the blood spilt and the enduring beauty of memory. The contrast between the frozen bones and the abundance of vegetation symbolizes the capacity of the natural world to absorb, cover and transcend the marks of conflict.

A Hero's Flowers is also a reflection on forgetting: what history erases, the earth remembers. Peace, here, comes not from a treaty or an official end, but from silence and oblivion - from a natural cycle older than our battles. Through this visual, I seek to tell a story without words, where aesthetics serves as a medium to evoke memory, death and renewal.
